Senior Pharmacist

About the role

The new Tengah General and Community Hospital is seeking a Senior Pharmacist to lead medication management across inpatient, outpatient and discharge services. You will play a pivotal role in shaping pharmacy operations within a state‑of‑the‑art campus that integrates healthcare with the surrounding forest community.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accurate processing of medication orders, including verification, preparation and supply.
• Manage discharge medication workflows to minimise delays and improve patient satisfaction.
• Develop and adjust staff rosters, monitor workload distribution and ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.
• Mentor and supervise pharmacy staff, coordinate operational training and foster continuous professional development.
• Collaborate with nursing teams to enhance medication administration processes and lead safety initiatives.
• Maintain sufficient stock levels, oversee automated dispensing cabinets (ADC) and other inpatient pharmacy systems.
• Investigate medication‑related incidents, implement corrective actions and drive process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail.
• Team‑player attitude and willingness to learn new tools.

Required skills

• Experience with automated dispensing cabinets (ADC).
• Proficiency in operating inpatient pharmacy management systems.
