Senior Physiotherapist

About the role

Ren Ci Hospital is recruiting a Senior Physiotherapist to lead assigned rehabilitation services, including outpatient, therapy aide and nursing home rehabilitation operations. The role involves delivering physiotherapy care, supervising junior staff and coordinating daily departmental operations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments of patients' mobility, functional abilities and rehabilitation needs.
• Develop, implement, monitor and review individualised treatment plans.
• Deliver interventions such as therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, manual therapy, airway clearance techniques and therapeutic modalities.
• Prescribe and recommend assistive devices and mobility aids, and educate patients, caregivers and families.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team on discharge planning and clinical outcomes.
• Supervise, mentor and support junior physiotherapists, therapy aides, students and conditional registrants.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and take part in quality improvement, clinical research, staff training and protocol development.
• Ensure compliance with professional standards, hospital policies, patient confidentiality and workplace safety, and recognise and help manage risks.
• Coordinate and oversee daily departmental operations and support staff performance management and professional development.

Required profile

• Degree in Physiotherapy recognised by the Ministry of Health (MOH) / Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).
• Registered with the Singapore AHPC with a valid practising certificate.
• Post-graduate qualification or relevant certification is an advantage but not essential; membership of the Singapore Physiotherapy Association is highly encouraged.
• Experience in a geriatric community hospital, long-term care or nursing home setting is an advantage.
• Responsible, compassionate and able to relate well to patients and residents, committed to serving all patients and residents regardless of race, nationality, religion or social status.
