Senior Planning Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Manager to lead the planning and project‑controls function for a major hospital development project in Singapore. The role involves developing and managing the overall project programme, monitoring progress, identifying schedule risks, coordinating recovery measures and delivering accurate planning information to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall planning and scheduling function for the hospital project.
• Develop, maintain and update the master project programme covering design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate realistic construction programmes with the Project Director, Construction Manager, site managers, consultants and subcontractors.
• Monitor actual progress against the baseline, identify delays and critical activities, and analyse the critical path.
• Prepare and implement recovery programmes and mitigation measures for delayed or critical tasks.
• Integrate subcontractor and specialist contractor programmes into the overall schedule.
• Produce weekly, monthly and periodic progress reports, dashboards, look‑ahead schedules and manpower histograms.
• Support time‑impact assessments, extension‑of‑time claims and delay analysis.
• Lead and mentor planning engineers and project‑control personnel.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of planning and project‑controls experience on large‑scale construction projects, preferably hospital or healthcare facilities.
• Proven ability to develop and manage complex construction programmes from pre‑construction through handover.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore construction practices and contractual requirements.
• Excellent analytical, communication and leadership skills.
