Senior Principal Piping Engineer

About the role

The Senior Principal Piping Engineer will lead the design and engineering of offshore piping systems for platforms and FPSO projects. This senior position requires deep technical expertise, independent decision‑making and coordination across multiple engineering disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design of offshore piping materials, stress analysis, layout and pipe‑support systems for platforms and FPSOs.
• Perform 3D model reviews and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
• Prepare piping inputs for proposals, cost estimates and CTR calculations.
• Produce deliverables such as design calculations, specifications, procedures, analysis reports and progress updates.
• Conduct QA/QC and engineering compliance checks for own work and that of junior engineers.
• Review and manage project specifications, engineering procedures and company policies.
• Support the Department Manager in discipline‑related activities and cross‑center collaboration.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Materials or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in offshore platform/FPSO piping engineering.
• Proven experience as Lead Piping Engineer on small‑sized FPSO or offshore platform projects.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with stress, layout and other discipline teams.
