Senior Process Engineer – Semiconductor Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to support a European semiconductor material manufacturer in Singapore. You will drive process optimization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement to ensure smooth transitions from development to mass manufacturing while maintaining cost‑effective operations.

Key responsibilities

• Optimize processes and sustain engineering activities for new and existing materials and equipment.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing lines to resolve equipment and material issues, minimizing disruption.
• Identify process issues, conduct root‑cause analysis, and address customer complaints.
• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date process documentation for compliance and knowledge retention.
• Lead lean and continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost yield, productivity, and reduce scrap.
• Coordinate cross‑functional collaboration for smooth development‑to‑mass‑manufacturing transitions.
• Work with production, quality, and maintenance teams to improve workflows and operational efficiency.
• Support procurement in sourcing strategies and cost‑reduction activities for materials and equipment.
• Participate in industrialisation projects focused on process and equipment enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Chemistry, or Material Science.
• 5–8 years of experience in process development and sustaining engineering within semiconductor processes.
• Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
• Experience with ISO standards and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management systems.
• Familiarity with SAP for BOM creation, routing, and new material number creation.
