Senior Procurement Manager

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager to lead sourcing, qualification and supplier development for advanced optical materials such as precision glass and crystalline substrates supporting its Photonics Platform Business and AR ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct supplier assessments, audits and qualifications, manage scorecards and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop and support APQP, PPAP, SPC, control plans and material‑specific quality systems; lead root‑cause analysis using 8D, FMEA and CAPA.
• Establish category strategies for optical glass, crystalline substrates and related coatings; lead RFx events, TCO analysis and cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Negotiate MSAs, SOWs, NDAs and commercial frameworks to secure supply assurance and protect IP.
• Assess supply‑chain risks, implement dual‑sourcing and support supplier integration for acquisitions or strategic partnerships.

Required profile

• Extensive hands‑on experience with optical glass and crystalline materials and upstream manufacturing processes.
• Proven ability to build and manage a high‑performance supplier base and lead cross‑functional teams across R&D, product engineering and operations.
