Senior Product Compliance & Risk Manager - APAC Wise Platform

About the role

Wise is looking for a Senior Product Compliance & Risk Manager to help its Wise Platform grow across APAC. The role translates regulatory requirements into practical product solutions, effective controls and clear decisions, working closely with Product, Engineering, Commercial and second-line Compliance teams on new partnerships, product changes and existing services. It is a hands-on role requiring independent judgement and detailed product understanding.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and interpret regulations applicable to new products and features, forming clear, evidence-based compliance positions for products and markets across APAC
• Work with second-line compliance and Wise Platform teams to turn analysis into practical solutions that enable growth while remaining compliant
• Proactively identify and manage regulatory risks across existing and new products, lead remediation efforts and own delivery to resolution
• Communicate emerging risks and regulatory changes, explain their practical implications and escalate breaches to Compliance oversight teams

Required profile

• At least 8 years of experience in regulatory compliance within payments, banking, fintech or a relevant regulatory organisation
• Experience independently assessing complex products or partnerships in APAC and explaining how the analysis affected products, control design or business decisions
• Ability to work from regulatory source material and product facts to form a robust assessment and opinion
• Skilled at collaborating with cross-functional teams to bridge regulatory requirements and technical implementation
• Able to communicate complex regulatory or technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Problem-solving attitude, comfortable in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, and able to drive projects autonomously to completion
