Senior Product Owner - Digital Farming Applications

About the role

Yara, which develops digital farming tools for precision farming and works with partners along the food value chain, is looking for an experienced Senior Product Owner to drive the strategy and execution of its digital applications (YaraConnect, YaraFarmcare). The role acts as the voice of customers and business within the Agile development team, turning business requirements into detailed, actionable deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Define and advocate the product vision and value proposition for digital in agriculture, and translate business objectives into a product roadmap supporting growth and sustainability.
• Prepare and execute the product requirement document in line with business stakeholders.
• Develop user stories, define acceptance criteria, prioritise the backlog, track project status and obtain sign-off and acceptance from business.
• Monitor and evaluate product progress throughout the product life cycle and communicate progress, challenges and trade-offs.
• Act as main point of contact for product launches and releases, bridging business/user needs with the team.
• Define and track OKRs and feature performance metrics to support data-driven decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and leadership to define and communicate the product vision and long-term roadmap.
• Mentor the team, foster collaboration, manage team dynamics and set clear team goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a product owner or manager, preferably managing the full lifecycle of digital products.
• Strong understanding of agricultural value chains, digital platforms and smallholder engagement models.

Required skills

• Familiarity with product development and agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban and SAFe.
• Ability to capture and communicate complex business and technical requirements and to take part in technical discussions with engineering teams.
• Strong stakeholder management, problem solving and decision-making, and the ability to lead large or cross-functional teams.
