Senior Project Manager, Robotics

About the role

NCS, a technology services firm operating across the Asia Pacific region, is hiring a Senior Project Manager for robotics in Singapore. The role manages and implements medium-scale IT and engineering projects, delivering them on time, within scope and to quality standards while meeting customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and document requirements by liaising with users and managers across a distributed organisation
• Prepare project plans, risk management plans, milestones and deliverables with business users and architects/designers
• Run daily stand-ups, track action items and manage day-to-day schedules, budget, manpower and quality
• Control scope definition and change requests, escalate overruns and scope creep to the Project Director/Delivery Lead
• Manage integration of hardware, software installation, testing, business process review, application development, migration and data conversion
• Identify the critical path, monitor interdependent activities and adjust schedules to meet deadlines
• Manage resources, including hardware, software, human resources and logistics, within budget
• Review project documentation against customer requirements and quality standards, and define performance reviews and post-implementation evaluations
• Negotiate with vendors and clients, manage contractors and subcontractors, and handle change requests
• Forecast project finances, including cost and revenue scheduling, billing and internal charging plans, keeping them within approved budgets
• Lead the team, delegate tasks, coach performance and provide feedback

Required profile

• More than 6 years of IT/engineering project management experience
• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience developing, implementing and supporting engineering or IT projects in a range of organisations
• Experience working in a provider or vendor environment delivering client projects
• Familiarity with matrix organisations and a proven track record managing medium-scale projects
• Preferred: strong technical experience in cellular networks or autonomous systems
