Senior Project Manager (Scrum Master Mandatory)

About the role

NCS, an AI tech services company and subsidiary of the Singtel Group, is hiring a Senior Project Manager in Singapore. The Scrum Master champions Agile values and practices to deliver high-quality software that meets client specifications, leads and motivates cross-functional teams, and ensures continuous learning and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Agile and Scrum: coach teams in Scrum ceremonies, facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives, and remove impediments
• Work with the Product Owner on the Product Backlog, sprint objectives and iteration plans, and track progress with burndown/burnup charts
• Ensure deliverables meet contractual specifications and quality standards, and manage client expectations
• Take part in milestone reviews and governance meetings, document approvals, and escalate risks with mitigation options
• Comply with confidentiality, security and regulatory requirements, including the Official Secrets Act where applicable
• Maintain records of development and maintenance activities, prepare progress reports and meeting minutes, and ensure version control of project artefacts
• Coach and mentor team members on Agile methods and technical practices, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Required profile

• Singapore citizenship (required due to project sensitivity and security)
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master managing LeSS or equivalent frameworks
• At least 7 years in software design and development, with at least 3 years in Agile environments
• Proven track record managing systems of similar scale and complexity
• Supervisory and leadership capabilities, strong communication and negotiation skills, and ability to manage ambiguity
• Preferred: team-oriented, self-motivated, willing to travel, and proficient in written and spoken English

Required skills

• Strong understanding of the Scrum framework and ability to train others in Agile
• Enterprise technologies including database design, web/application servers and network technologies
• Advantageous: user stories, UX-focused projects, and prior exposure to Scrum, XP or Kanban
• Preferred certifications: CSM, CSP, PSM, PPO, PMI-ACP, PMP, CITPM or PRINCE2 (not mandatory)
