Senior Repair Engineer (Ship / Marine / Vessel)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Repair Engineer to lead maintenance and repair activities for vessels across Singapore. The role combines technical oversight, project management, and direct customer interaction to ensure ships remain operational and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, monitor and track all maintenance works to guarantee ships’ operational readiness.
• Manage MRO expenditures, including spares and material utilization.
• Serve as the primary contact for ship owners and related customers, maintaining clear communication.
• Lead a team of technicians, engineers and contractors to deliver safe, high‑quality work on schedule.
• Conduct Vessel Safety Committee Coordination (VSCC) meetings during ship programmes.
• Prepare and submit monthly management reports.
• Perform service acceptance for jobs completed by the Production Department.
• Review, check and approve work orders raised by the Commercial Department.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in new‑build or ship‑repair projects (preferred).
• Completion of the Ship Repair Manager Course is advantageous.
• Strong project‑management capabilities covering planning, scheduling, costing, risk and manpower management.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
• Willingness to work onboard vessels and on weekends as project demands dictate.
