Senior Research Fellow (Quantum Migration Security)

About the role

FSR@NTU is seeking an experienced Senior Research Fellow to lead technical and operational activities for Thrust 3 of the QUASAR‑CREATE programme. The role involves shaping research direction, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring timely delivery of secure‑system prototypes.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate research, technical direction, priorities and execution approach for Thrust 3.
• Recommend research, engineering, prototyping and industry‑trial priorities.
• Guide contributions from internationally distributed, multidisciplinary teams.
• Make or recommend decisions on technical architecture, implementation, testing and integration.
• Evaluate trade‑offs involving security, performance, interoperability, cost and operational risk.
• Review technical quality and readiness of research outputs, prototypes and trial systems.
• Identify delivery risks and suggest adjustments to scope, sequencing, resources or partner responsibilities.
• Contribute to partner selection, industry engagement, project development and technology‑transfer decisions.

Required profile

• PhD in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Applied Cryptography or a closely related discipline.
• Strong record of applied research, engineering leadership or technology development in cryptography, cybersecurity or secure systems.
• Significant professional experience in industrial, commercial, government or applied‑research environments.
• Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating multidisciplinary technical projects across multiple teams or organisations.
