Senior Research Scientist – Trust Technologies

About the role

The National Centre for Research in Digital Trust at Nanyang Technological University is looking for a dynamic Senior Research Scientist to lead commercialization, technology translation, and industry engagement for TrustTech and AI Safety research. You will act as the bridge between world‑class researchers and industry partners, turning advanced research into real‑world business solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate R&D outcomes in Privacy‑Enhancing Technologies, Decentralization & Blockchain, and AI Risk Management for commercial viability and translate them into products and services.
• Conduct market readiness assessments and develop value propositions for enterprise, regulatory, and public‑sector customers.
• Build strategic partnerships with multinational corporations, local enterprises, and technology startups across Financial Services, Telecommunications, Healthcare, and Technology sectors.
• Manage and scale the industry engagement pipeline, converting technical discussions into formal collaborations, Joint Labs, and paid Proof‑of‑Concept implementations.
• Oversee ongoing industry PoCs to ensure target metrics and business outcomes are achieved.
• Represent DTC at flagship industry events, roundtables, and international showcases to generate enterprise leads.
• Collaborate with government and ecosystem partners such as IMDA and NRF to align efforts with national strategic priorities.
• Prepare and deliver presentations on DTC research achievements and track progress against Innovation & Enterprise KPIs.
• Support the preparation of progress reports and commercialization proposals for management and funding agencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical/quantitative field.
