Senior Security Analyst

About the role

As a Senior Security Analyst at OANDA, you will lead a proactive security lifecycle to protect digital assets and critical infrastructure. You will design and optimise controls, enhance threat detection, and develop resilient defence strategies against cyber incidents and malware.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, triage and investigate security alerts across EDR, SIEM and cloud environments to isolate threats quickly.
• Proactively hunt for threats and misconfigurations across infrastructure and applications.
• Own the vulnerability management programme, using advanced scanning tools to assess and remediate risks.
• Improve Incident Response playbooks, act as primary responder, lead post‑mortems and produce executive‑ready reports.
• Provide expert input on security controls for cloud, network endpoints, firewalls and encryption standards.
• Serve as technical liaison for internal and external audits and regulatory bodies, driving remediation of compliance gaps.
• Lead security awareness initiatives and mentor teams on best practices.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of dedicated information‑security experience, preferably in FinTech or financial services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience in offensive security, penetration testing, malware analysis or computer forensics.
• Working knowledge of SOC2, ISO27001/2, NIST frameworks and financial regulations.
• Exceptional communication skills to translate technical findings into business‑focused action plans for executives.
• Active CISSP certification preferred, with additional credentials such as CISM, CISA, CEH or specialised penetration‑testing certifications.
