Senior Security Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Security Specialist to lead and enhance our cybersecurity operations across on‑premises and cloud environments. The role involves designing, implementing and maintaining security solutions while mentoring junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Execute core cybersecurity operations: monitoring, threat hunting, incident response and remediation.
• Develop and test incident response plans, coordinating containment, eradication and recovery actions.
• Review system architectures and configurations to ensure compliance with security standards.
• Conduct quarterly breach and attack simulations in collaboration with HQ.
• Manage penetration testing engagements, from scoping to remediation tracking.
• Design, implement and operate security solutions such as M365 Conditional Access, Intune, endpoint protection, web and network security, perimeter defenses and advanced detection tools.
• Drive continuous improvement through process automation and stakeholder engagement.
• Lead vendor evaluations, contract negotiations and procurement for security initiatives.
• Develop business plans, budgets and resource forecasts for cybersecurity projects.
• Onboard logs to SIEM, patch syslog and SOAR servers, and mentor junior staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in security engineering or security operations.
• Proven experience managing SIEM, log management and SOAR platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Azure, AWS and modern cloud deployment patterns.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, GCIH, GNFA, GPEN, GCAD or GDSA.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
