Senior Security Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Security Specialist to lead and enhance our cybersecurity operations across on‑premises and cloud environments. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions while mentoring junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Execute core cybersecurity operations including security monitoring, threat hunting, incident response, and remediation.
• Develop and maintain security solutions such as M365 Conditional Access, Intune, endpoint protection, web and network security, perimeter defenses, and advanced detection tools.
• Review system architectures and configurations to ensure compliance with security standards.
• Coordinate quarterly breach and attack simulations and refine security controls.
• Manage penetration testing activities with vendors, from scoping to remediation tracking.
• Oversee SIEM onboarding, log management, and SOAR platform maintenance.
• Drive process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement of cybersecurity operations.
• Lead security enhancement initiatives, including vendor evaluation, contract negotiation, and budgeting.
• Mentor junior cybersecurity staff and define measurable security performance objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in security engineering or security operations.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, GCIH, GNFA, GPEN, GCAD, or GDSA.
• Proficient written and oral English.

Required skills

• SIEM, Log Management and SOAR solutions.
• M365 Conditional Access and Intune.
• Endpoint protection, web and network security, perimeter defenses, advanced detection tools.
• Cloud platforms: Azure and AWS.
• Scripting and automation (Power Automate or similar).
• Syslog server and SOAR server patching and upgrades.
• Incident response, threat hunting, security monitoring.
• Security architecture review and compliance assessment.
• Penetration testing coordination with external vendors.
