Senior Social Worker – Community Services

About the role

The Senior Social Worker (SSW) manages complex cases, develops and implements individualized care plans, and collaborates with multidisciplinary professionals and community partners. The role also strengthens practice standards through mentorship, supervision, and capacity‑building for junior staff and volunteers.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive needs and risk assessments for high‑risk cases and develop, implement, and monitor individualized care and intervention plans.
• Provide clinical supervision and guidance to junior staff, lead case conferences, and coordinate services across agencies.
• Prepare detailed case notes, reports, and social reports, and monitor the effectiveness of case management for beneficiaries.
• Review and approve case assessments and outcome plans, and deliver home‑visit volunteer training.
• Perform any ad‑hoc duties assigned by management to support organisational goals.

Required profile

• Degree and/or Master in Social Work or Counselling, preferably registered with the Singapore Association of Social Workers or the Singapore Association for Counselling.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a community environment.
• Bilingual ability, preferably with proficiency in local dialects.
