Senior Software Engineer

About the role

EndeavourX, part of the National University Health System, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build, deploy and operate AI‑enabled healthcare products. You will work on integrating cutting‑edge AI, including large language models, into real clinical workflows and regulated environments.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end development of backend and full‑stack components for AI‑enabled healthcare solutions.
• Translate product requirements into well‑structured software designs, APIs and data flows.
• Rapidly prototype, iterate and deploy features based on product and clinical feedback.
• Integrate applications with external systems, APIs and healthcare platforms.
• Implement and integrate LLM‑based capabilities such as retrieval‑augmented generation, prompt orchestration and context management.
• Work with data scientists to operationalise model outputs, embeddings, vector search and retrieval pipelines.
• Participate in deployment, configuration and production support, ensuring reliability and observability.
• Follow ISO 13485 and IEC 62304 development and documentation practices for regulated medical software.
• Collaborate with cloud architects, data scientists and product stakeholders, and review code with external teams when needed.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of professional software development experience.
• Hands‑on experience integrating AI/LLM features into production applications.
• Familiarity with developing software for regulated healthcare environments.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work cross‑functionally with clinicians and technologists.
