Senior Software Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Cards team, you will design and build scalable, secure backend services that power Airwallex’s card issuance and expense‑management products. The position is based in Singapore and offers the chance to shape a high‑visibility fintech platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure backend services for the Cards product.
• Contribute to the architecture and long‑term technical vision of backend systems.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery of new features, from design through production.
• Write high‑quality, testable code with a focus on reliability and maintainability.
• Promote engineering best practices, including observability and API design.
• Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and design teams.
• Provide technical mentorship and support the growth of other engineers.
