Senior Software Engineer

About the role

RAPSYS TECHNOLOGIES is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead high‑impact projects across Singapore. You will work on both greenfield initiatives and the modernization of legacy government systems, delivering robust solutions with minimal supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver priority projects independently, ensuring timely completion and high quality.
• Make pragmatic technical decisions that balance timelines, scope, budget, and long‑term sustainability.
• Navigate complex modernization efforts involving legacy Java and Pega Cloud systems.
• Identify and manage critical technical dependencies early, communicating impacts to stakeholders.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with progressive technical complexity.
• Strong foundation in software architecture, system design, and engineering best practices.
• Experience with modern tech stacks for government systems, including Kotlin, Java, and cloud platforms.
• Proven ability to work on both greenfield development and brownfield modernization projects.
• Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and observability.
