Senior Software Engineer – Safe Coding (Singapore)

About the role

Google’s Product Security Safe Coding team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to anchor the Software Supply Chain security effort and make secure coding effortless for all developers. You will work on high‑impact projects that protect Google products and their users.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering excellence across the team while actively mentoring technical talent.
• Partner with Engineering Managers, Product Managers and Technical Program Managers to define and execute the team’s roadmap and AI‑driven security strategy.
• Stay ahead of the evolving threat landscape and devise innovative solutions for both emerging and legacy security challenges.
• Design and build secure‑coding tools, frameworks and infrastructure that scale across Google’s product ecosystem.
• Collaborate with the Core team to integrate security foundations into Google’s core platforms.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level software engineering experience with a track record of delivering large‑scale systems.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, able to influence cross‑functional teams.
• Deep understanding of security principles and software supply‑chain risk.
• Comfortable working across the full‑stack in a fast‑moving, innovative environment.
