Senior Software Engineer - Trading

About the role

Coinbase is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its Consumer & Business Advanced Trading team in Singapore. You will help architect and deliver the next‑generation trading systems for the IntX product, working closely with the global Trading organization. This role combines deep technical ownership with the opportunity to shape the future of crypto finance.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical vision and architecture for mission‑critical trading components such as order management, execution engines and reliability infrastructure.
• Lead multi‑quarter, cross‑team projects from design through production, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Conduct system design reviews and code reviews to raise engineering quality across the trading stack.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Design to align product strategy with long‑term technical investments.
• Identify high‑leverage technical initiatives, build consensus across teams, and steer the strategic direction of the platform.
• Mentor engineers at all levels, fostering the growth of the next generation of trading infrastructure leaders.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with ownership of large‑scale distributed systems.
• Hands‑on experience building or operating trading systems, including order management, execution, market data, or risk management.
• Proven ability to lead complex, cross‑team initiatives from ambiguous problems to measurable outcomes.
• Strong communication skills to translate product requirements into scalable designs and explain trade‑offs to non‑technical stakeholders.
