Senior Specialist, Implementation Engineering

About the role

As a Senior Specialist in Implementation Engineering you will provide technical support to merchants integrating Checkout.com’s payment processing technology, ensuring smooth configuration, debugging, testing and post‑live assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Answer merchants’ integration questions covering configuration, debugging, documentation, testing, go‑live and post‑live support.
• Manage integration incidents: investigate, troubleshoot, escalate, resolve, report and track time.
• Collaborate with Merchant Configuration, Sales, Account Managers and Merchant Care to resolve issues during trials, integrations or post‑implementation.
• Interact with Product teams to suggest improvements.
• Maintain and update existing libraries/plugins used in integrations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of development or technical support experience in a Tech/FinTech environment.
• Payments experience is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills in English and Chinese.
• Ability to multitask across multiple projects and customer integrations.

Required skills

• Strong coding skills in at least one language: Java, JavaScript, PHP, Python, Go, C#.
• Experience with Node.js and React.
• Knowledge of iOS/Android development.
• Understanding of APIs, REST, webhooks and log analysis.
