Senior Strength and Conditioning Instructor

About the role

The Senior Strength and Conditioning Instructor will lead the design and delivery of sport‑specific conditioning programmes for youth and competitive badminton athletes. This role combines expertise in physical development, injury prevention and performance optimisation within a high‑performance academy environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver strength and conditioning programs tailored to youth and competitive badminton athletes, focusing on strength, power, speed, agility, mobility, endurance and injury prevention.
• Plan, manage and monitor individual training routines, tracking progress and adjusting loads to optimise physical development.
• Collaborate closely with badminton coaches to integrate conditioning work with technical and tactical sessions.
• Apply sport‑specific knowledge of badminton’s physical demands to support long‑term athlete development.
• Evaluate performance metrics and modify programmes to meet evolving goals while reducing injury risk.

Required profile

• Degree in Sports Science, Exercise Science, Strength & Conditioning or a related discipline.
• Recognised strength & conditioning certification (e.g., CSCS, UKSCA, ASCA, EXOS, NASM, ACE or equivalent).
• Experience designing and delivering programmes for youth or competitive athletes, preferably in badminton.
