Senior Tech Lead / Solution Architect - Mobile & Payment Apps

About the role

Fuku is looking for a Senior Tech Lead / Solution Architect for its mobile and payment applications in Singapore. The role defines and implements the architecture of mobile and web-based payment platforms, leads cross-functional teams through the full software lifecycle, and works closely with product managers, UX designers and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement end-to-end architecture for mobile and web-based payment platforms, selecting technologies and frameworks aligned with business goals.
• Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, GDPR and other security and data protection standards.
• Lead teams through the full software lifecycle, oversee code quality, design reviews and technical documentation.
• Guide integration with internal systems, payment gateways, banking APIs and third-party services.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and present architectural decisions to senior leadership.
• Work with the technology team on CI/CD and cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS), monitor performance and lead optimization, and ensure high availability, fault tolerance and disaster recovery planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8+ years of software development experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or architectural role.
• Hands-on experience designing and deploying customer-facing applications, preferably in the financial or payments domain.
• Experience using wireframes to design user journeys and a strong grasp of UX principles.
• Proven experience in mobile app development (iOS/Android) and front-end technologies (React, Angular).
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

Required skills

• Strong background in backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, Node.js or similar.
• Deep understanding of payment systems, transaction flows and security protocols.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to mentor technical teams.
