Senior Technical Engineer (Design & Build)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Technical Engineer to lead design and build activities for large‑scale civil and infrastructure projects. The role involves managing the full engineering design lifecycle, ensuring compliance with specifications and contractual requirements, and coordinating closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all engineering design activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review design drawings, technical submissions, shop drawings and engineering documents before implementation.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, authorities, subcontractors and internal teams to obtain design approvals and resolve technical issues.
• Coordinate architectural, structural, MEP and BIM teams to ensure design integration, constructability and timely delivery.
• Oversee submission and approval processes with authorities (URA, BCA, LTA, PUB) and ensure statutory compliance.
• Prepare, review and monitor technical documentation, design progress reports and presentation materials.
• Identify design risks and discrepancies, recommending mitigation measures.
• Support tender activities by preparing technical proposals and design‑related submissions.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB).
• Minimum 5 years of design management experience, including at least 3 years on Design & Build projects.
• Experience with civil and structural engineering design coordination for construction projects.
• Familiarity with statutory submission and approval procedures involving URA, BCA, LTA and PUB.
