Senior Threat Hunter

About the role

SimSpace is looking for a Senior Threat Hunter to lead complex incident‑response scenarios, mentor global security teams and drive the development of AI‑enabled threat‑hunting exercises across the Asia‑Pacific market.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of advanced threat‑hunting projects, from pre‑sales scoping to on‑site execution and post‑event analysis.
• Design and run realistic cyber‑range exercises, integrating open‑source and commercial tools, OT, IoT and LLM environments.
• Provide technical consultancy to customers on AI agent integration, security stack configuration and threat‑intelligence enrichment.
• Develop and maintain parsing rules, dashboards and tuning for enterprise security platforms within SimSpace’s cyber‑range.
• Travel up to 25% of the time to support customer events and assessments.

Required profile

• 6+ years in Security Operations, Incident Response, Detection Engineering, Red‑Team or Cyber Threat Intelligence.
• Proven experience delivering threat‑hunting or incident‑response engagements in large enterprise or government environments.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to mixed technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Self‑starter attitude with a passion for mentoring and continuous learning.

Required skills

• Threat hunting and incident response in corporate networks.
• AI agent orchestration and decision‑loop design.
• Hands‑on experience with Splunk, Elastic, CrowdStrike, and other SIEM/EDR tools.
• Data analysis using Python, Pandas, SQL, Hadoop, Hue.
• Knowledge of OT, IoT and Large Language Model security considerations.
• Digital forensics and malware analysis techniques.
