Senior Underwriter – Financial Lines

About the role

Reporting to the Manager, Industry Practices, the Senior Underwriter will assess and price cyber and financial lines risks for Chubb in Singapore. This position offers a chance to deepen underwriting expertise while contributing to the company’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite cyber and financial lines portfolios in Singapore, meeting annual profit and revenue targets.
• Collaborate with the Head of Financial Lines to develop and execute the cyber underwriting strategy.
• Provide ad‑hoc underwriting support for other financial lines products such as D&O, Crime, Professional Indemnity and FI, identifying cross‑sell opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and other producers, understanding their needs and delivering suitable solutions.
• Engage directly with key local clients to develop long‑term risk‑management partnerships.
• Represent Chubb at industry events, showcasing the firm’s capabilities.
• Work with internal distribution teams to explore alternative channels for the SME segment.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in underwriting, sales or cyber‑related roles.
• Demonstrated ability to assess risk, evaluate submissions and make underwriting decisions.
• Proven track record of business development and achieving profitable growth.
• Experience managing stakeholder relationships and operating within matrix reporting structures.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills for risk assessment and mitigation.
