Senior/Assistant Finance Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Senior/Assistant Finance Manager to lead our finance and administrative functions at Geylang East Home For The Aged in Singapore. The role combines day‑to‑day financial operations with strategic reporting and compliance responsibilities, supporting the Management Committee and senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily finance activities such as grants, payments, donations and invoicing.
• Maintain a complete set of accounts and manage petty cash, journal entries and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare timely financial, cost and variance reports for monthly Management Committee meetings.
• Update Fixed Deposit schedules and verify interest rates before maturity.
• Coordinate statutory and program audits and lead the annual budget preparation.
• Review internal controls, identify risks and recommend improvements.
• Ensure compliance with IRAS regulations, Charities Accounting Standard, Code of Governance and the Charities Act.
• Provide administrative support, manage inventory, office equipment and assets, and assist daily office operations.
• Perform additional duties assigned by Senior Management.

Required profile

• Relevant finance or accounting qualification with solid experience in nonprofit or charitable organisations.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore financial regulations and charity reporting standards.
• Proven ability to produce accurate financial statements and analytical reports.
• Excellent attention to detail and high integrity in handling financial data.
• Ability to work independently and support office administration tasks.
