Senior/Staff Emergency Nurse (PHI West)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior/Staff Nurse to work in the Emergency Department at PHI West. The role involves delivering high‑quality patient care, triaging and managing acute cases, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Triaging each patient and determining priority of care based on physical, psychological and social needs.
• Performing focused patient assessments of chief complaints, medical history and medications according to established triage guidelines.
• Providing safe patient education and monitoring patient status at regular intervals, documenting care and assessments.
• Assisting clinicians during examinations, diagnostic testing and treatments.
• Initiating corrective actions promptly when adverse symptoms are detected.
• Assisting with CPR and other emergency treatments, stabilising patients in collaboration with physicians.
• Keeping patients and next of kin informed about care and treatment stages.
• Liaising with other units for admissions or further treatment and accompanying critically ill patients to other hospitals.

Required profile

• Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
• Diploma in Nursing or State Registered Nurse Certificate.
• At least 1 year of inpatient ward experience as a Staff Nurse.
• Relevant Advanced Nursing Diploma or equivalent is preferred for senior positions.
