Service Technician

About the role

The Service Technician will execute production, service, repair, installation and commissioning tasks for customer‑supplied equipment. You will work on‑site, liaising with customers to ensure installations meet technical specifications and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform production, service, repair, installation, FAT, field construction, plant commissioning, sea trials and inspection tasks.
• Maintain thorough project documentation and apply ISO‑compliant procedures such as Job Safety Analysis, Work Method Statement and Permit to Work.
• Coordinate procurement of equipment and materials required for each project.
• Engage with customers to clarify installation requirements, including hot work, welding, carpentry and cable running.
• Escalate additional customer requirements to management promptly.
• Verify completed work against acceptance criteria in technical and installation manuals.
• Support preparation of design drawings and documentation to meet customer specifications.
• Contribute to developing a comprehensive field support process across all product lines.
• Detect and document quality issues related to products or services.
• Oversee proper handling and usage of inspection, measuring and testing equipment as equipment owner.

Required profile

• ITE or Diploma in Electronics, Communications, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent).
• 2–3 years of relevant experience; candidates with less experience but strong potential are also considered.
• Technical knowledge in servicing, installing and inspecting electronic systems.
• Familiarity with ISO documentation practices such as Job Safety Analysis, Work Method Statement and Permit to Work.
• Strong emergency‑response mindset and good customer liaison skills.
• Willingness to undertake shift work.
