Shift Trader

About the role

Squarepoint is building a Central Trading & Monitoring team to provide 24/7 supervision of trading activities across regions. As a Shift Trader you will join a fast‑paced environment where risk monitoring, trade oversight and incident response are core responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor real‑time exposures, raise alerts and execute hedging actions according to established procedures.
• Oversee systematic trading strategies, restart processes when needed and respond to operational alerts.
• Perform ad‑hoc hedging, booking tasks and support special initiatives or pilot projects.
• Assist internal teams with issue escalation, resolution and post‑execution analysis.
• Contribute to process improvement by developing scripts and automation tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with urgency in a fast‑moving, global team.

Required skills

• Programming proficiency in Python.
• Familiarity with KDB (a plus).
