Shop Sales Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Shop Sales Assistant to join our grocery store in Upper Thomson, Singapore. The role involves providing excellent customer service, handling sales transactions and maintaining store presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer enquiries and provide product information, pricing and availability.
• Promote and sell grocery products, handling cash, NETS, credit/debit card payments and issuing receipts.
• Receive, check and arrange incoming goods, replenish shelves and maintain proper product displays.
• Monitor product expiry dates, apply FIFO stock rotation and assist with stock taking and inventory checks.
• Keep the shop clean and tidy, ensure items are correctly labelled and assist with loading and unloading of merchandise.
• Pack customer purchases, prepare orders for delivery or collection and report damaged or missing items.
• Perform cash counting, handover procedures and follow company policies on safety and operations.
• Assist with regular stock counts and notify the supervisor when stock levels are low.
• Support colleagues to ensure smooth daily shop operations.
