Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Jump Trading Group is looking for a senior Site Reliability Engineer to own and evolve the reliability of its global trading infrastructure. The role combines deep systems programming, Linux expertise and networking knowledge to ensure high‑performance, low‑latency services for a fast‑moving financial market.

Key responsibilities

• Develop deep technical expertise in assigned product areas and technology stacks.
• Own production deployment, configuration, and release processes.
• Drive performance, reliability and operability through continuous improvement and capacity planning.
• Build and maintain tooling for deployment, orchestration, monitoring and diagnostics.
• Define observability metrics, SLI/SLOs and performance targets in partnership with product owners.
• Collaborate across engineering teams to troubleshoot complex incidents and lead post‑mortem analysis.
• Influence architecture, promote best practices and document processes for global SRE teams.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Linux systems or network engineering.
• Strong, detail‑oriented approach to operations and a deep sense of ownership.

Required skills

• Proficiency in systems programming languages: C, C++, Golang, Rust.
• Extensive experience with Linux operating system, kernel internals and performance tuning.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts: routing, multicast, LLDP, VLANs, Ethernet.
