Site Reliability Engineer – Trading (FinTech)

About the role

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join a high‑performance trading team within an elite FinTech firm. The role blends Linux systems engineering with SRE practices to maintain a low‑latency Linux estate across private and public cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and support automated, scalable deployment solutions for mission‑critical trading applications.
• Maintain and optimise Linux infrastructure for low‑latency performance.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines and containerised workloads using Kubernetes, Docker (or Podman).
• Collaborate on both project‑based initiatives and day‑to‑day BAU tasks, automating processes wherever possible.
• Work closely with development and operations teams to ensure reliability, availability and security.

Required profile

• Strong background in Linux systems administration and automation.
• Hands‑on experience with configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet or Ansible.
• Proficiency in container orchestration (Kubernetes) and container technologies (Docker/Podman).
• Solid scripting/programming skills, particularly in Python.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and implementation.
