Site Supervisor - Elevator Installation

About the role

KONE, a global leader in elevators and escalators, is hiring a Site Supervisor. The role is accountable for the safe, high-quality and efficient installation of the KONE solution, within the agreed scope, schedule and budget. It also covers site preparation, leading the installation team, verifying deliverables, coordinating with the builder and other contractors, and acting as the KONE interface with the customer.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safety, quality and productivity during installation and handovers, and act on non-conformities
• Verify the site execution plan and field cost management, and confirm S-plan milestones 3 to 5z
• Plan installation activities, site storage and logistics, request materials and perform goods receipt
• Organize handovers to the installation team and subcontractors, and run daily huddles to keep work flowing smoothly
• Manage variation sales and change orders, claim costs attributable to others, and verify quality and final testing before handing over to maintenance
• Manage environmental aspects such as waste and hazardous material handling
• Act as the main contact for the customer and ensure customer satisfaction
• Check that installers, testers and contractors are trained, certified and competent, and manage their performance and wellbeing
• Follow and improve standard ways of working according to Lean principles, coaching the team and sharing improvement ideas

Required profile

• Experience in construction or the elevator industry is an asset
• Knowledge of relevant laws, standards and requirements, and basic construction management and building systems
• Understanding of installation methods and general contractual understanding
