Social Worker – Child Protection Specialist Centre

About the role

The Child Protection Specialist Centre (CPSC) seeks a dedicated Social Worker to provide home‑based services and support to families and children experiencing abuse or severe neglect. You will work closely with the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) referrals to deliver non‑statutory interventions that empower families and protect children.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans for children and caregivers.
• Carry out social investigations, assessments, case formulation and intervention planning.
• Prepare timely reports and case records.
• Implement safety and intervention plans, monitoring progress.
• Develop wrap‑around services for high‑need families through advocacy, referrals and collaboration with community partners.
• Work two night shifts per week and occasional weekends as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Social Work.
• Preferably experience in child protection, mental health, or family violence.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, stressful environment.
• Strong maturity, communication and interpersonal skills to engage professionals and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Capability to work effectively with children and adolescents.
