Software Engineer – Advanced Intelligent Software Systems

About the role

IMDA’s Advanced Intelligent Software Systems (AISS) team is building cutting‑edge software solutions such as AI Verify and GPT‑Legal. We are looking for a Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver innovative applications that drive business success.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, research scientists, solution architects and engineers to plan and implement software solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, secure, and efficient code following industry best practices.
• Own software quality by creating unit and integration tests, conducting code reviews, and working with QA to resolve defects.
• Produce comprehensive technical documentation, including code comments, architectural diagrams, and developer guides.
• Participate actively in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot user‑reported issues.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and evaluate their applicability to enhance our platforms.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a software engineer on successful projects.
• Strong understanding of software development practices, design patterns, micro‑service architecture, and information‑security principles.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams and contribute positively.
