Software Engineer – AI‑Enhanced Medical Education

About the role

The Software Engineer will support the Office of AI‑Enhanced Medical Education (AIME) at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine by building and maintaining software solutions that advance AI‑driven teaching, assessment, and learning analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain front‑end and back‑end features for education‑facing and internal applications.
• Rapidly prototype new tools and translate technical requirements into functional designs.
• Conduct architecture reviews, plan integrations, and coordinate with external vendors.
• Implement QA automation, oversee deployments, and produce comprehensive documentation.
• Ensure solutions meet data governance, ethics, cybersecurity, and AI governance standards.
• Support faculty development and pilot projects through reliable, secure, and scalable software.

Required profile

• Experience in full‑stack software development and rapid prototyping.
• Ability to work across architecture, integration, and vendor coordination.
• Strong focus on security, maintainability, and interoperability of digital solutions.
• Understanding of data governance, ethical AI, and cybersecurity considerations in an educational setting.
