Software Engineer - Banking

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our banking technology team. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high‑volume transaction applications that support core financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full software development lifecycle from analysis and design to testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Produce clear documentation, flowcharts, and diagrams to capture system architecture and processes.
• Develop and integrate Java and ReactJS components, RESTful and SOAP APIs, and Oracle database solutions.
• Maintain and improve Linux‑based environments, leveraging tools such as Autosys, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct system analysis, recommend policy changes, and ensure operational feasibility.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable software solutions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in the financial services sector.
• Strong understanding of computer systems and hardware constraints that affect software design.
• Proven ability to act as a technical lead throughout complex projects.
• Experience with distributed, scalable systems and high‑volume transaction processing.

Required skills

• Java (or C++) and object‑oriented design.
• ReactJS, RESTful and SOAP API development.
• Oracle database.
• Autosys, CI/CD, OnDemand, Ansible.
• Red Hat Linux administration.
• Python and Selenium (advantageous).
• Observability platforms and application architecture/design patterns.
