Software Engineer – C++, C# & Python

About the role

Join Thermo Fisher Scientific’s innovative software team in Singapore to develop cutting‑edge applications for scientific instruments such as electron microscopes and analytical platforms. You will work with modern C++, C# and Python to create solutions that enable breakthrough research across life sciences, materials analysis and semiconductor fields.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑performance software that controls scientific instrumentation.
• Implement object‑oriented solutions using C++, C# and Python, following best practices for data structures and algorithms.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers and domain experts in an agile, SAFe‑aligned environment.
• Participate in code reviews, continuous integration/deployment pipelines, and automated testing.
• Contribute to micro‑services architecture and containerised deployments.
• Travel occasionally (5‑10%) to support global teams and customer sites.

Required profile

• Advanced degree with 3+ years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in commercial software development.
• Strong academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related fields.
• Proven ability to work independently and support team members.
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical and communication skills in English.
