Software Engineer – Contact Centre Solutions

About the role

NXGEN is seeking a Software Engineer to support the design, development and maintenance of software applications for contact centre environments. The role involves delivering end‑to‑end ICT solutions, ensuring project quality from conception through to deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Research, design, implement and manage software programs for contact centres.
• Develop new applications and modify existing ones using C#, Java, JavaScript and related technologies.
• Write efficient, maintainable code and ensure operational practicality.
• Install, configure and maintain ICT solutions, including networking and contact‑centre infrastructure.
• Provide user training, support daily system operations, schedule backups and preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate job requests, update project managers and maintain project documentation.
• Assist with escalations to product principals while minimizing operational disruption.

Required profile

• Diploma or higher NITEC / NITEC in IT or equivalent professional certification.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; training will be provided.
• Ability to work in a team, follow SDLC processes and adopt Agile or Scrum methodologies.

Required skills

• C# programming language.
• Java programming language.
• JavaScript and jQuery.
• Microsoft SQL and .NET framework.
• Web development with Angular, HTML, CSS, MVC and REST APIs.
• Understanding of SDLC, Spring and Agile methodology.
