Software Engineer – eGreenGov

About the role

GovTech is seeking a Software Engineer to develop and maintain the eGreenGov portal, a key platform for Singapore’s sustainability reporting. The role involves building robust, scalable data pipelines and user‑facing applications that enable public agencies to submit and visualise environmental data.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and operate zero‑downtime deployments, CI/CD pipelines and incident management processes.
• Own end‑to‑end engineering quality across the stack, from design through testing and monitoring.
• Develop and maintain the reporting platform, including building inventory lists, environmental scorecards and validation workflows.
• Create intuitive dashboards for agencies to track progress, identify hotspots and benchmark performance.
• Implement secure role‑based access controls and ensure data protection.
• Collaborate with data engineers and integrate external APIs such as DataHive.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in full‑stack engineering or a related technical role.
• Independent, detail‑oriented and impact‑driven professional.
• Proven ability to deliver production‑grade web applications.
