Software Engineer – Google Wallet 1P Integrations

About the role

Google’s Wallet 1P Integrations team is looking for a Software Engineer to build and enhance the connections between Gmail, Chrome and Android and Google Wallet. You will work on importing and autofilling passes such as receipts, flight reservations, loyalty cards and event tickets, impacting millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain features that import pass data from Gmail or Chrome into Google Wallet.
• Design and implement new UI components and backend services for Android, focusing on maintainability and reusability.
• Enhance data saving and autofill for various verticals including receipts, flights, events, loyalty programs and hotel reservations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to iterate on user experience and expand supported data types.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 1 year of software development experience in languages such as Python, C, C++, Java or JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Preferred: 1 year of Android application development experience, familiarity with Google Play Services, and exposure to Machine Learning or AI quality evaluations.
