Software Engineer III – Debug (Full Stack)

About the role

Google is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Debug team, a fast‑moving group that builds on‑premises and cloud software for industrial automation. You will work closely with biologists, hardware engineers, and external partners to deliver scalable solutions for mosquito‑factory operations worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement full‑stack applications that orchestrate custom automated and manual workflows.
• Develop automation tools for managing a growing fleet of on‑premises Linux servers and Google Cloud Platform/GKE resources.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with non‑technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate feedback into reliable software.
• Maintain and evolve codebases in Java, Python, Go, C++, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Integrate hardware prototypes such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi with cloud services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of full‑stack development experience covering back‑end (Java, Python, Go, C++) and front‑end (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering best practices.
