Software Engineer – Industry 4.0 & Digitalization

About the role

Thales is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Program & Performance Management team within the Manufacturing Competence Center in Singapore. The role focuses on developing and supporting software solutions that drive Industry 4.0 and digital transformation for manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for Industry 4.0, RPA and related applications.
• Develop, test, debug and maintain new and existing full‑stack applications.
• Gather and document functional requirements from manufacturing and translate them into technical specifications.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, cybersecurity and IT teams to deliver user‑centric solutions that meet security standards.
• Provide first‑level support for ERP and MES users on‑site.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides and training materials.
• Assist with DevOps activities, deployment and basic monitoring of on‑premise applications.

Required profile

• Diploma or B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in full‑stack (backend/frontend) development; fresh graduates are also welcome.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a strong plus.

Required skills

• Full‑stack web development using proven frameworks.
• Solid software development fundamentals (coding, testing, debugging).
• Knowledge of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) concepts.
• Basic DevOps and deployment skills for in‑house software.
