Software Engineer – Trading Team

About the role

Jump Trading Group is seeking a seasoned Software Engineer to join its Trading Team. You will work on designing, implementing and optimizing cutting‑edge trading algorithms that power our global market activities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise high‑performance trading algorithms in C++.
• Collaborate with traders, quantitative researchers and engineers to prototype and execute innovative strategies.
• Conduct thorough testing to ensure accuracy, stability and minimise financial risk.
• Enhance the trading platform’s performance with a focus on resource efficiency and hardware optimisation.
• Maintain a positive team environment and support cross‑functional relationships.
• Perform other duties as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of professional C++ development experience, preferably in algorithmic trading systems.
• Proven track record of building, deploying and maintaining market order execution algorithms.
• Experience designing large‑scale big‑data processing or modelling systems on high‑performance computing clusters.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a detail‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team‑first attitude.
