Software Lead Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Software Lead Engineer to design and develop complex software solutions for semiconductor equipment components and devices. Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and debug code for semiconductor equipment software using C/C++.Net, and C#.
• Create software documentation, test procedures, and test plans for simulators, test benches, or lab environments.
• Troubleshoot difficult software problems and implement bug fixes.
• Communicate with internal and external customers to gather requirements, define project schedules, and provide software support.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 4–7 years of relevant experience in software development.
• Proficiency in C/C++.Net, C#, operating systems, networking principles, algorithms, multi‑threading, and RPC.
• Preferred: Master's degree and leadership experience for small project teams.
