Solution Architect – Data & AI Platform (Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a Solution Architect to design and implement end‑to‑end data architectures that support analytics, AI/ML and real‑time IoT workloads across Singapore. The role will lead the creation of medallion layers, semantic and business analytics layers, and ensure data governance and access controls are in place.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end data architecture covering Bronze, Silver and Gold medallion layers, semantic layer and business analytics layer.
• Define data models, contracts, governance frameworks, schema and data‑warehouse design.
• Incorporate diverse data sources such as IoT telemetry, CCTV footage and building system logs, and prepare the platform for AI/ML workloads.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound data interface specifications with partners.
• Establish governed data access for dashboards, APIs and AI tools, including access controls and audit logging.
• Identify data science and ML use cases, support hypothesis testing and MLOps pipelines.
• Document architectural decisions, trade‑offs and rationale.
• Transfer knowledge to internal teams and progressively build internal design capability.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in data architecture and platform design.
• Proven track record building Bronze/Silver/Gold data architectures and semantic layers from scratch.
• Hands‑on experience delivering solutions on AWS using Databricks or Snowflake.
• Experience with data contracts, governance frameworks and automated data‑quality controls.
• Background delivering large‑scale data platforms for national or city‑level projects.
• Experience ingesting IoT/telemetry, system logs and image/video data; robotics sensor data a plus.
• Familiarity with AI‑ready infrastructure for Generative AI, LLM or Retrieval‑Augmented Generation use cases a plus.
