Solutions Development Architect

About the role

Join Cisco CX as a Solutions Development Architect, acting as a trusted advisor to executive sponsors at strategic accounts. You will own the technical relationship, design multi‑architecture AI‑enabled service solutions and influence how Cisco’s CX Services are packaged and scaled.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical relationship at the VP level, translating business priorities into architecture, service strategy and measurable KPIs such as time‑to‑value and risk reduction.
• Define current and target states for complex, multi‑architecture opportunities, creating AI‑enabled service propositions and multi‑phase transformation roadmaps.
• Partner with Sales to qualify and win high‑value transformational opportunities and drive CX Services components of RFP/RFI responses.
• Co‑design scalable, cost‑effective solutions with internal teams and ecosystem partners, manage implementation risk and ensure clean hand‑off to Delivery.
• Mentor engineers and architects, shape Integrated Account Planning and maintain the opportunity pipeline in Salesforce.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 + years of relevant experience (or Master’s/PhD with fewer years) and proven success in consultative solution selling for professional services.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior customer leadership (VP/SVP) and architect‑level depth in at least one core domain (Networking, Data Center, Security, Cloud or AI/Data).
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills with a track record of winning strategic opportunities.

Required skills

• Networking, Data Center, Security, Cloud and AI/Data expertise.
• Enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, ITIL, COBIT and certifications like CCIE, DevNet Professional, CISSP.
• Experience with AI and automation in solution design and familiarity with Salesforce for pipeline management.
